News, Co-author. October 2015 (about us amd thir blog)

News, Co-author. October 2015 Hi y'all! Please know, although for quite some time now I've been unable to post here regularly, you've all been in my thoughts, prayers and heart. I have some news for you. Jodi and I are no longer able to do this advocacy work together. I hope you'll all join me in sending her best wishes and continue to support her and share the amazing hfme. Myself, jodi and our dear friend and fellow m.e sufferer Ingeborg wrote a blog in late 2012 that I will shortly be posting once her family have sent their contributions in memoriam of Ingeborg and to honour the selflessness of her contribution in order to help others with this horrendous illness. There is also one other finished blog and I think from memory 3 in work blogs myself and jodi wrote several years ago that I'll need to figure out what to do with. I'll let Y'all know. I'm far far too ill to change any of the blog, it's format or anything of that kind. There is a blogger app which is how I am posting this and posts for several years now, amd that's all you can do, post. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience it brings having misinformation on a site like this, and ill change anything, and in turn everything, I can as soon as I can but as y'all are well aware of how this illness is, that could even take years. Again, I apologise. Hope you can all be as understanding as you always have been, you wonderful people you! I have a beautiful amazing few Co-author whom Altho I can't wait for y'all to meet, love, learn from and advocate with, let's keep this particular post about jodi. I'll happily pass on any messages to her, so please feel free to use the easy comment stream below, or as always email me on my advocacy email ContactAlisonLouisebell@Gmail.com Or text or voicemail 07971 151 438 Internationally +44 7971 151 438 It's been so valuable working with jodi over the years, and I'm ever grateful for that. And we have both been incredibly grateful for your support our dear readers! The world of m.e sufferers, and m.e. advocacy needs y'all! Much love Alison, of the formerly known as The Tinkerbelle and Hummingbird M.E Blog. God bless x

Re absence. Relapse. (about us and this blog) 10.14

Helloooo our beautiful blogger arme! I'm so sorry for my absence. I'm sad to say I relapsed. And my very first ever that wasn't a natural health deterioration, or causational one caused by a hospital visit or such. I hope to explain one day if I can, but just not yet. I hope to be back here regularly in the not too distant future. And I'm really sorry that I haven't been here for so long. I hope to have the blog edited soon that I mentioned here the last time I wrote, that is about going chemical and toxin free, and detoxification. When I can find someone to edit it, I'll post be able to post it. And I hope that can tide y'all over till I can post regularly again. Until then, we really are truly appreciative of your patience and for standing by us through this all. You absolutely are the best followers! We feel so grateful and blessed! Patience, Support and Meantime June 2014 (about us and this blog)

Patience, Support and Meantime. June 2014. Hello to our beautiful blogger arme. We want to apologise for the lack of major blog discussions over the past months. Both Jodi and myself have had a lot to deal with recently, but you are a priority for us we hope you know. We really want to thank you for your patience and continued support, for us and importantly yourselves one another. I, Alison/Tink, am in the midst of writing a solo major blog about my experiences going chemical free and non toxic. I hope to have it finished in the next few weeks. In the meantime, why not reread some oldie but goodies on Hfme. Knowledge along with rest, are your main weapons with this terrible disease. And it can also be incredibly valuable when dealing with ignorant medical professionals and family/friends. Here are some of my personal recommendations ; What is M.E. (various lengths) http://www.hfme.org/whatisme.htm CFS is always a misdiagnosis http://www.hfme.org/misdiagnosis.htm Why M.E. Sufferers can be housebound or bedbound http://www.hfme.org/houseboundandbedbound.htm Invisible logic, why M.E. is not an invisible illness http://www.hfme.org/invisible.htm Death from M.E. http://www.hfme.org/medeaths.htm It would be great if you could tell us what your favourite or recommended Hfme papers by writing in the easy comment stream below, or by contacting me, Alison/Tink via the following means email contactalisonlouisebell@gmailcom Text or voicemail 07971151438 Internationally +44791151438 Fax 02083315042 Internationally +4483315042 Once again, thank you for your patience and support. You are all so important to us! Best Wishes, Much Love and Blessings, The Tinkerbelle and Hummingbird M.E. Blog x x

Our 2 year anniversary (occasions, about us and this blog)

It really doesn't seem like it, but our 2nd anniversary is almost upon us!

May we take a moment to thank you all for being part of our community for another year.

We hoped to inform about this horrendous illness, help with both suffering and understanding, create a safe place for you all to gather amongst friends and equals, and be people whom you can talk with and confide in.

I (Alison/tink) have no idea if we achieved any of those, but I can say it has been such an honour to try.

Thank you, each and every one of you, for taking the time to visit our blog, read our posts and discussions, sharing us as many times as you could, contacting us, and for being such truly wonderful people.

We are so very grateful for you all.

And Jodi/Hbird, , my oh my.
This wouldn't be anything without you.
I am truly honoured to co-do this with you. Love and admire you beyond words.
Thank you Jodi!

Best Wishes, Much Love and Blessings,

Google +, Google Plus (about us and this blog)

Hi our awesome blogger arme.

How are you all, if I may ask?

Just a little notice, I have enabled Google+ (Google Plus), to make it even easier for y'all to both comment and follow us.

Lovely Google wouldn't recognise our blog name as a real name, so I had to use Alison Bell as the first name, and Jodi Bassett as the surname.
I'm sorry that must seem confusing, oh the joy of computer fixed options!

Let us know if it helps, or indeed if these are any other ways we can help you to communicate with us and for you to keep up to date with our postings.

Best Wishes, Much Love and Blessings,

Instagram and kik (about us and this blog)

Hi everyone,
We hope the new year is going as well as it can do for you all!

I know some of you would like contact, but do not want to, as some of you perceive it as, 'bother' me (Alison/tink) for a simple hello or for company etc.

Firstly, this could never be the case, I love having contact with you!

Secondly, with this in mind, I would like to share that I am on Instagram.

Since my severe relapse, I have not felt able to go on Facebook or Twitter, but I find I am able to cope with Instangram, probably because with the posts being mainly pictures, there is less reading involved.

I post few pictures myself so you won't feel spammed with them, but I do 'like' and or comment on quite a few so you may feel my love on whatever you post. (of course you can request I do not do this.)

If you are also on there, and would like a wee hello, please either comment on one of my pictures, or tag me in one of yours.

My username is simply AlisonLouiseBell

I would like to note, as it is my personal profile, everything I share in my opinion alone.

It's a great way to meet others, including folk with M.E., but as always be aware that sadly not everyone who thinks they have M.E. do in fact have it.

So, maybe see you there! I look forward to it.

I am also on the private messenger service Kik, again my username is AlisonLouiseBell
So if you would like a chat, but to remain anonymous or our conversation private, feel free to pop by and say hi.

Best Wishes, Much Love and Blessings.

Health, Healing & Hummingbirds. (about us and this blog)

I am always so proud and inspired of my Co-Authoress Jodi Bassett. And beyond honoured to work with her here on this blog.

As amazing it is the work she does on her wonderful, accurate and informative Hfme, she has started a New site too!

It's called Health, Healing & Hummingbirds.

Jodi/Hbird writes;
I am so happy to announce the launch a new website this month -Health, Healing & Hummingbirds.
Lately I have been reading as much as I can about health and healing. Some of the information out there is genuinely amazing. So much more impressive and compelling than I had been led to expect. But finding the little nuggets of gold amongst all the huge piles of worthless junk takes time. Time that many ill people just don’t have.

Health, Healing & Hummingbirds (HHH) aims to get a summary of the cutting-edge information on health I’ve learned out to people in the earliest stages of their disease. Where it can do the most good.
HHH is about healing. Finding and treating the causes of disease and giving the body the resources it needs to heal itself –rather than just endlessly chasing and suppressing symptoms.

This is not a website about ‘alternative’ medicine as such, or one which supports all ‘natural’ therapies. Modern drug-based medicine is hugely problematic but the vast majority of what is promoted as 'alternative' medicine (for want of a better term) is also unscientific and unhelpful. I don’t think it makes logical sense to support most ‘mainsteam’ drug-based medical practitioners or most ‘alternative’ practitioners. The important distinction is between medicine which works and medicine which doesn’t, not some artificial line between so-called ‘mainstream’ and ‘alternative’ medicine.

The body has an amazing capacity to heal. Making sure your body has all the materials it needs to run properly is an essential part of any program aimed at reclaiming lost health. Doing otherwise is like asking someone to build you a house and only giving them trailer-loads of doorknobs to do it with. It just can’t be done.

We are brainwashed to always be excited about and focused on the newest and sexiest and most exotic new drugs (and other treatments) to cure us. But most of this is just marketing hype. The good news is that it is the deeply boring and ‘unsexy’ stuff like making sure your body has enough of all the major vitamins and minerals it needs and a low toxic load which really gets the big results! This is great news for anyone that is ill. No matter what disease you have you have far more power to improve your health than you have been led to believe.

Using the best information from experts in their fields, and the most appropriate tools and modern tests available including using many cutting-edge testing and other technologies, to find and treat the causes of disease gives the best outcomes.

HHH provides information on health and healing for the moderately or severely ill –summarised from 100 of the world’s best cutting-edge health books.

Having a trained doctor and nutritional expert to administer testing and help you on your way is ideal and highly recommended but several parts of the program you can safely do yourself, if you are willing to read and learn a little bit. What better time to start than now?

That is what HHH is all about in a nutshell. I hope you find this new website useful!'

Show her your support and gratitude by letting us know what you think below.

Your help, competition entries and comments. (about us and this Blog)

We have a favour of our Blogger Arme.

Although we announced the winner of our latest competition to win a copy of Jodi's wonderful book some while ago, we have not heard back from the winner, Christeen.

We are hoping one of you may know how I can contact her.

This was her entry,,,

'It's lovely to hear people talking about animals. I have horses, dogs and cats AND M.E. - how is it possible? Friends help out of course, I live alone and foster for the local dog shelter taking the dogs that are terrified of the human race - these dogs want to be left alone but will, over a period of months, accept that this very benign human being that spends many hours on her reclining chair is utterly non-threatening but does provide food and water! One door from this room opens onto the specially made 'dog yard' so that they can play at any time with or without human interference! Over time these dogs come round and are able to be slotted back into the 'system' to find their new home - so I do have a purpose and have many special moments such as touching a dog for the first time or having a dog take a huge sigh and finally relaxing in my company - very special rewards and tremendously useful 'work'! The horses graze freely year round though there are stables. I don't ride anymore but deal with behaviour - again I have learned from them and from my limitations that with horses 'less is more'. A movement from my fingers is sufficient to make a horse step back, when I can sit on a chair on the stable yard or in the field, I can 'join the herd' and take part in the 'being' part of nature. I have four stallions, all in the same field, with mares - by normal horse keeping 'rules' they should have ripped each other to pieces, but taking time to be 'with' them in their herd, (of which I am the lead mare!) I have learned that the boys have a heirarchy and one will take advantage of the mares and the others almost seem to switch their hormones off - so my stallions are friendly, calm and I trust them - compare this to other stallions kept behind bars who bite and kick given half a chance - but wouldn't you if you as a social animal only mixed with others for the reproductive side of your nature and lost all the other social aspects of your nature - but then we know about the last aspect all too well! This years foals are an utter delight to watch and 'be' with as they explore their 'first' human being - the boys do it with their teeth, the girls are much gentler! Cats as well of course, though they have a side of the house away from the dogs! So M.E. has given me the opportunity to spend time 'being' with my animals and learning from them, which was not a possibility when I worked full time and rode at weekends or when I left work and was still able to ride occasionally and to go out and 'do' things on a regular basis. So M.E. has given me the chance to learn about my animals in a very unique way. Finally, Blue is a large sled dog who pulls a cart, so if I do go out in the fields he can come with me and can bring me back if I find I've walked too far - he also pulls small loads of anything I need to 'carry' - and loves it. They keep me sane, give me purpose, provide laughter, frustration, emotional variety and a routine (which is basically that there isn't one! - everyone here has to be totally flexible - we run by 'my' clock which bears no resemblance to the real time!) Without them and the need to serve them my life would be very narrow and much poorer and M.E. would have taken a much greater toll. It has taken years to change my home to a property that fits round M.E. and my animals - but that process in itself, the problem solving aspect of the many practical problems that managing animals throws up, has given me a purpose and sense of achievement.'

If anyone recognises her info, and has her contact details, can you either, if/when you are able,
1, let her know that she won and ask her to email me her preferred name to be sewn on her thank you card, and a postal address to send the wonderful book and card to.

Or
2,pass her contact details onto me in confidence and I will contact her.

My email is contactalisonlouisebell@gmail.com

We really appreciate your help!

It's also worth suggesting that if you enter one of our competitions, to check back shortly after the closing date.

If you are not sure if you'll be well enough or able to do that, when you enter, simply email me your email address or mobile number (for text message), and i'll be happy to let you know the winner when they are announced.

And for those of you who haven't noticed, I personally reply to all comments made via the easy comment streams on our blog, apart from the competition entries as I feel this would be unfair. So if you comment anywhere, it's worth checking back if you wish to read my reply. Again if you are unsure if you would be able so revisit the blog to check, let me know when you comment and I can email or text you my reply.

Once again, thank you for your help in contacting the winner, and for simply being members of our Blogger Arme community!!

Best Wishes, Much love and Blessings

New Video Page is Up (about us and this blog)

Our dear Blogger Arme.

I (Alison) have (finally) added a Video page with some of Jodi's fabulous Hfme YouTube videos.

I highly recommend them, and sharing them wherever you can too. Every little bit of education helps our fight massively!

They are true, honest, accurate, and uncomplicated which I always find a bonus!

Let us know what you think, and congratulate Jodi on such marvelous work!

Translation. (about us and this blog)

Hi all.

I love words.
I know this makes me sound much more of a geek than I am, but I do not mind.

Yet however much I love words, I find that I have been unable to learn new words for many years now due to my M.E.
As you may have also noticed, I am not too great with words. However much I try, they never seem to say what I mean nor hold the gravity of how I feel. So it is fair to say English is not my forte.

I do know some sign language.
I only remember a handful of the French I learnt at school and hardly any of the Latin I also learnt at school too.

Yet thanks to a great new gadget, our beloved blog is now available in many languages.

To translate any of our blog, including pages, simply go to the gadget found at the right hand side, select which language you wish to read our words in, and voila. Easy as that.

We hope that this will enable easier reading and maybe even more readers.
If so, let us know how you find it.
we hope it helps

So for now,
Much Love
Alison
