We know how hard occasions like Christmas can be when you are even slightly ill, let alone have an illness as debilitating as M.E. can be.
So we wanted to hold an extra special competition with more goodies than usual, to show you our support and care.
We all know Christmas starts earlier and earlier each year. With adverts on television, the shops start advertising, decorating, playing music, and selling items from September sometimes. I think most people agree this is too early.
But for us, there is a very good reason to start our Christmas Competition 2012 now.
We like to give you all enough time to enter given the state of many of your health. We know how difficult it can be to do seemingly simple things like keep up to date with a blog, or even leave a comment on our easy comment stream below.
We also need time to announce the winner, and to give the winner time to contact me (Alison), especially as we have not had contact from the original Pet Blog Competition winner, nor the alternate winner. (We will announce a 3rd winner if we do not hear from the alternate winner soon, so if you entered, keep an eye out.)
Lastly, I need time to have the winners stash posted for them to receive it in time for Christmas.
So, long story short, here is our first Christmas Competition!

. I will copy you a number of Christmas films that I have for you to choose from. (Note if you choose ones for me to copy from actual dvds, they will have all subtitles and bonus features. Ones that I have made from tv will obviously not, but they do have all advert breaks etc removed)
. A seasonal red nose, (if you are colour/light sensitive, this would make a super gift for a child!)
. Any Chocolate that you can have, I.E. sugar free, organic etc. Just let me know your requirements. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without indulgence right?!
. I will make you Copies of any of my Christmas music collection, dependant on your tolerations.

and I 'aim' to announce the winner chosen completely at random on
November 21st 2012.
It's worth suggesting that if you enter one of our competitions, to check back shortly after the closing date.

I'm sure that I have had some fabulous Christmas gifts over the years and some dodgy ones but all I can think of is a really soft fluffy white dressing gown that my husband bought me one year - it is so soft, warm and cosy I love it!! I had forgotten all about it as it was hidden away in my wardrobe but after having a sort out I found it again!! I love cosy Saturday nights in watching Strictly and X Factor in my pj's and dressing gown with my hubby after a nice tea in the run up to Christmas. With the M.E. it is difficult to get out but a cosy night in can be just as good. I love the magic and sparkle of Christmas - you can't beat it and every gift no matter how big or small is precious if it is given with love. xxx

hi guys! my worst EVER christmas present was from a boyfriend many years ago, it was a calculator that had very large buttons (aka 'pensioner' styley) on it, not funky, not retro, not anything cool, if calculators CAN be cool? i never understood why this was his present of choice for me - needless to say we didnt stay togther long!! my BEST christmas presents have often been something inexpensive or handmade, as a small child i was given an oblong tin of spearmint lip balm, it had an old fashioned design on the lid which slid accross. i loved it and carried it in my pocket for years, even after the lip balm had run out. keep up the good work guys. xxxx
I think one of my favourite ever Xmas gifts is one I got not long ago from a lovely M.E. friend. Just made my year LOL! It was a handmade Wonka chocolate bar, just like it looked in the original movie. I was so in love with it when I got it and when I realsied hours later it had a gold ticket inside I nearly fainted, hahaha. I didn't even think to look! My friend had written a lovely message on it just for me. The ticket was shiny gold and had scalloped edges and everything. Just amazing. I put it on my bookshelf and look at it often and it makes me smile!
Yes Lina, am not sure what message a daggy calculator sends to a girlfriend...but am sure it can't be a good one, LOL! Yes me too, I love handmade gifts most of all...that or bought ones that are super thoughtful and show the person knows you really well.
My brother and his wife gave me the worst presents ever: a used puzzle missing puzzle pieces and pornographic comics. My best Christmas present was getting married to my husband (December 20), who married me even though he knew he would have to care for me, probably for the rest of my life.
