I'm grateful for my 3 kitties, my phone, my audio books and my 4 carers. They are the most important to me.
My kitties because it's because of them I'm still alive. I will never ever leave them, so I have to keep going for them.
My phone because it's the only way for me to be online a bit and to have some social live.
My audio books because I'm a bookworm and this way I can still read books and doze off to an imaginary world. I love books. Too bad I can't talk much about a book with someone, because I'm too ill for it. But I'm sure grateful that audio books do exist.
My carers because they are so sweet and help me with a lot of things. Just lately I had to look for a new carer. But because I'm too ill to have a conversation, let alone this kind of conversation, my 3 carers did the conversations with the people who reacted to my ad. 1 of my carers put the ad in a newspaper with her phone number mentioned, so people could call her instead of me. And the conversations were done at 1 of my carers house who lives nearby. This way they could come over for a minute with a candidate, so I could see her and get a feeling if see would be nice and fit the job. Well, 1 out of 3 gave me a good feeling about her being my new carer. She now takes care of me and I'm happy I choose her. So now I have 4 really nice carers. And thanks to the 3 carers who already took care of me, I didn't had such a severe relapse from looking for a new carer because they did everything.
Boy, I now realize how lucky I am that I have so much to be grateful for.
Thank you Alison and Jodi for making me realize this. Love you guys
hi guys, and a happy easter to you all. im grateful to have survived another british winter in our freezing cold house. the birds are singing and spring is here. smiles have been few and far between the past few months but hearing the birdsong makes me happy.
"Something that makes you grateful"
This right here -> you guys providing us this special place where we can connect with others who 'get it'. Everyone matters - even those of us who live as if we don't exist by friends or family who adopt 'out of sight, out of mind' attitudes about us.
Love & Thanks Alison & Jodi,
Anony-1
Hi, I'm just dropping in as I haven't stopped off at your blog for ages. It's Easter Sunday night here and it's been a beautiful day with daughters, grandchildren and chocolate. I'm not a big chocolate eater these days but my girls know my favourites (Lindt, Belgian Shells!) so I was spoilt. I hope you were both spoilt too...goodness knows you deserve it. That's all really - I just wanted to say hi and send some love and light and appreciation for everything you do. x
Hi Miss min.
